Beach to Bay Major Benefactors

Special Olympics

Special Olympics Texas is a non-profit sports organization that relies on countless volunteers and loyal supporters year round.

One of those loyal supporters is the Corpus Christi Road Runners Club (CCRRC).  The CCRRC has donated more than $150,000 to SOTX over the past 30 years.

The club’s generous contributions help SOTX organize athlete and coaches trainings, competitions and other sporting events.  In addition, donations from the CCRRC go toward the purchase awards (medals and ribbons), meals and equipment for various events around the South Texas area throughout the year.

Alice Garza, Director Corpus Christi Special Olympics

Texas A&M University

The support that Beach to Bay has extended to the men and women’s cross country and track teams at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi has been instrumental in allowing us to recruit quality runners from Corpus Christi, South Texas and internationally.  In the more than 10 years that Beach to Bay has been helping, Islander teams have won 10 Conference titles, brought home three NCAA Division One individual National titles, seven NCAA Division One All American certificates and numerous lesser honors.  Without the support of Beach to Bay this would not have happened.  So thank you so much and we will continue to reach for the stars with your help!

Sincerely,Coach Shawn Flanagan
